Short answer: Candy AI has two video features. Candy Shorts are ready-made story videos, each episode under two minutes, starring Candy AI characters. Generated videos are clips of a character that you create yourself, either with the “Build Your Video” tool or by turning a chat image into a video. Making 18+ videos needs Premium, and media features use tokens. Regular chatting does not.

What are Candy AI Shorts?
Candy Shorts are short, AI-generated cinematic videos featuring Candy AI characters in scripted scenarios. Think of them as mini series: each series has a set of episodes (some have 5, others 30), and each episode lasts under two minutes. You find them under Shorts in Candy AI’s main menu.
Shorts are separate from your chats. Watching one does not change your conversations or what a character remembers about you. They are made for when you want a quick story without roleplaying through a full chat. Candy AI adds new episodes regularly but does not promise a fixed release schedule.
Are Candy AI Shorts free?
Candy AI does not say officially whether Shorts are free, Premium-only or paid with tokens. Reddit users often ask this question. The easiest way to find out is to open the Shorts page with a free account and see what plays. Everything else on this page that needs Premium is clearly marked as Premium in Candy AI’s own help center.
How to make a video of your Candy AI character
There are two ways to generate your own videos.
1. Build Your Video
- Open the video generator in Candy AI.
- Choose the character, action, location and partner from the preset options.
- Click Generate video.
- Find the finished clip under My Generations.
Candy AI notes that the result may vary from the options you picked, so expect some trial and error.
2. Turn a chat image into a video
After you generate an image in a chat, Candy AI shows an option to convert it into a video if the image is suitable. This is the quickest way to get a moving clip of the exact character you have been talking to.
To save a video, right-click it and choose “Save video as” on desktop, or long-press it and tap “Download video” on mobile.
How many tokens does a Candy AI video cost?
Candy AI does not publish a fixed token price per video. Here is what is official:
- Premium includes 100 tokens every month. Premium Plus includes 330.
- Regular text chat does not cost tokens.
- Tokens are used for images, videos, voice features and private content packs.
- Candy Roulette video chat costs 5 tokens per minute.
- You can buy more tokens with the same payment methods as your subscription.
If you plan to make a lot of videos, the yearly plan is the cheapest way to get Premium, and Premium Plus gives you more than three times the monthly tokens.
